How to set Static IP in window 10/8/7

There are two types of IP addressing in the network one is static another is dynamic. In Dynamic IP allocation IP address is allocated by the DHCP server and in static IP allocation IP address is entered manually by the user or an administrator.static IP are basically useful in those situation where we just want to have a fix IP address of any particular system or a network like if we want to have a system acting as a FTP server or web server in those situation a system is set to a static IP so that user dosent need to remember the IP address always. So lets start how we can set static IP in our system.

Step 1 First open cmd to check your network address so that we can detect the network range  by entering ipconfig

after hitting enter we can check the ip address of our system

Step 2 After checking IP address right click on the network icon and select open network and sharing center

Step 3 After clicking open network and sharing center click on the local area connection or the wireless connection any of which is available

Step 4 After clicking on the local area connection and click on properties

Step 5 After clicking properties click on the ipv4 setting

Step 6 After  clicking ipv4 setting enter the static ip you want to allocate but that should have same network bits other wise internet will not work

and finally click on save and close after that open cmd again and check the ip via cmd wether it has been changed or not

and here we can see as the IP which we have manually entered so hurray its done enjoy surfing
